The more of this you can include, the faster we can fix it:
- What you were doing, and what happened instead of what you expected;
- A screenshot or screen recording, if you have one;
- Your device model and iOS version (Settings → General → About).
Common questions
Is Ripple free?
During beta, yes — every feature is free. We'll share pricing plans well before anything changes, and beta users will hear first.
What kinds of ponds does Ripple work for?
Backyard and farm ponds, HOA and retention ponds, and golf course water features. If you can stand at the shoreline and take a photo, Ripple can work with it.
How do I get the best diagnosis from my photos?
Take a wide shot from the shoreline in bright, natural light, then add a close-up of whatever's growing — texture is how Ripple tells algae from aquatic plants. If growth is under the surface, rake a small sample onto the bank and photograph that. The app will ask for specific follow-up photos whenever they'd raise confidence.
Where is my pond data stored?
On your device. Ripple has no accounts and no user database — photos and details are sent securely for analysis, your results come back, and everything lives in the app on your phone. Details are in the privacy policy.
Does Ripple sell or apply treatments?
No. Ripple is a planning and education tool. It links to retailers for convenience, but you choose what to buy, and the product label always governs how anything is used. For complex or severe situations, Ripple will point you to a licensed lake-management professional.
Is Ripple professional advice?
No. Ripple's assessments are AI-generated educational estimates, not professional or regulatory advice. Always read the product label and confirm your state's rules before buying or applying anything — and when in doubt, bring in a licensed pro.
