Terms of use

Last updated: July 11, 2026 · version 2026-07-beta

The short version

Ripple is a planning and education tool, not a licensed lake-management service or professional advice. Its analyses and estimates are informational starting points. You are responsible for reading and following the product label, confirming your state's rules, and applying products safely — or hiring a licensed professional. Ripple is offered as-is, currently in beta, with no guaranteed outcomes.

1. Acceptance of these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and TWO P VENTURES LLC, an Illinois limited liability company ("Ripple," "we," "us"). By downloading or using the Ripple app or this website (together, the "Service"), you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you don't agree, don't use the Service. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.

2. What Ripple is — and is not

Ripple provides AI-assisted educational information about pond and lake conditions: photo-based assessments, a pond health score, product-planning estimates, and seasonal guidance.

  • Ripple is not a licensed lake-management, agronomic, environmental, or pest-control service, and does not provide professional advice.
  • Ripple's outputs are generated by artificial intelligence from the photos and details you provide. They may be incomplete or incorrect, and conditions in real water bodies vary. Treat every output as an informed starting point, not a determination.
  • Ripple does not sell, apply, or supervise the application of any product. Links to retailers or manufacturers are provided for convenience only.
  • No outcome is guaranteed. Ponds are living systems; results depend on factors Ripple cannot observe or control.

3. The label is the law

Algaecides, aquatic herbicides, and related products are regulated. The current product label is the controlling authority for whether, where, when, and how a product may be used — including application rates, water-use restrictions, and safety precautions. Any quantity or dosing figure shown in Ripple is an educational planning estimate based on the measurements you provided. Before buying or applying anything, you must:

  • Read and follow the entire current product label;
  • Confirm the product is registered and permitted for your use in your state, and whether a permit or license is required;
  • Comply with all federal, state, and local laws, including licensing requirements for restricted-use pesticides, which Ripple does not recommend to consumers;
  • Stop and consult a licensed professional if conditions are unclear, severe, or flagged as a potential safety risk (for example, a possible blue-green algae bloom).

4. Assumption of risk

You are solely responsible for decisions you make and actions you take regarding your pond, including product selection, purchase, handling, storage, and application. Working with water and regulated products carries inherent risks — to people, pets, fish, wildlife, plants, and property. By using the Service, you accept these risks and agree that you, not Ripple, are responsible for how you use the information the Service provides.

5. Beta service

The Service is currently offered in beta, free of charge. Features may change, be interrupted, or be discontinued at any time. Data handled by beta software may be lost; your pond data is stored on your device, and we recommend keeping your own records of important information.

6. Your content

You retain ownership of the photos and information you submit. You grant us the limited license needed to process them to provide the Service (for example, transmitting a photo to our analysis infrastructure to generate your results), as described in the privacy policy. You agree not to submit content you don't have the right to share.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service — including attempting to reverse-engineer it, using it to violate any law or regulation, probing or disrupting our infrastructure, or using outputs to represent yourself as a licensed professional when you are not one.

8. Intellectual property

The Service — including the Ripple name, wordmark, design, software, and content we create — belongs to us or our licensors. These terms don't grant you any rights in it other than the right to use the app as intended. Product names and trademarks referenced in the Service belong to their respective owners; references do not imply endorsement or affiliation.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT ANY ASSESSMENT, SCORE, ESTIMATE, OR RECOMMENDATION IS ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR SUITABLE FOR YOUR POND.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RIPPLE AND ITS OWNERS, OFFICERS, AND CONTRACTORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, PROPERTY DAMAGE, ENVIRONMENTAL HARM, OR HARM TO AQUATIC LIFE, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR ANY PRODUCT YOU SELECT OR APPLY. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATED TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR FIFTY U.S. DOLLARS ($50). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Ripple harmless from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your misuse of the Service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right in connection with products you purchase or apply.

12. Changes to the Service or these terms

We may update the Service and these terms. If changes are material, we'll update the date above and, where required, ask for your acceptance in the app. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept them.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Illinois, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
